One of the resources commonly acquired through harvesting most animals. It's necessary for the making of mid and end tier armors, needed by every Rust player. Acquired in abundance mainly through the harvesting of bears and wolves.

Crafting
Leather cannot be crafted — it drops as loot, comes from a research blueprint, or is found at monuments.
Recycling
Rust has two recycler types. Monument recyclers are faster and yield 60%, but you can be attacked. Safe-zone recyclers in Outpost and Bandit yield 40% and take longer, but turrets protect you.
Leather cannot be recycled.
