M249
The M249 Light Machine Gun can only be found in Helicopter Crates and Bradley Crates. It has a magazine capacity of 100 5.56 bullets, the largest in the game. It does more damage than the Assault Rifle and has a slightly faster rate of fire while being way easier to control recoil-wise, allowing for very accurate and deadly bursts in long-range when coupled with a Holographic sight or an 8x scope.

Crafting
M249 cannot be crafted — it drops as loot, comes from a research blueprint, or is found at monuments.
Recycling
Rust has two recycler types. Monument recyclers are faster and yield 60%, but you can be attacked. Safe-zone recyclers in Outpost and Bandit yield 40% and take longer, but turrets protect you.
M249 cannot be recycled.
